I simply adore Brebichon, a farmstead sheep’s milk cheese that is oh so creamy, delicate and luscious. This apple washed cheese is an absolute must buy on every stop I make to Fromagerie Atwater in Montreal.

At the recent festival I was introduced to the great team from Five Brothers Artisan Cheese who make cheese out in St. John’s, Newfoundland. They are known throughout St. John’s local food scene, so it’s time for them to get some exposure on a national scale. I enjoyed some of their queso fresco, a perfect summertime cheese.
