I love cheese, I love beer, and was delighted to find renowned Quebec cheesemaker Fritz Kaiser’s latest offering, Clos St-Ambroise on a recent trip to Montreal. If you are just getting started on beer and cheese pairings, this is a no-brainer! Give this a try – McAuslan is a fantastic brewery worth supporting, Fritz Kaiser’s cheeses are delicious and accessible – quite the delicious combo in your mouth. You won’t regret it!

The Great Canadian Cheese Festival

June 2, 2012

I am currently enjoying the Great Canadian Cheese Festival in Picton, Ontario. I had planned to film videos, and I might just yet, but my voice is still quite hoarse and a little hard to hear. I’ve tasted some great “new to me” cheeses, met some lovely cheesemakers, wine makers, beer brewers, and Bob Blumer. There are some pics from the day on https://www.facebook.com/CurdyGirl so check it out (“Like” the page while you are at it, thanks!) the festival which is in Picton continues tomorrow, so get yourself out here if you can.
